RECYCLED MATERIALS IN OUR GLASSES: INFORMATION ON RECYCLED MATERIALS

Our recycled material label

If you have purchased a product bearing our ‘Green Line’ recycled materials label, this means that recycled materials have been used in the manufacture of that product. The label serves as a guide and makes the use of recycled materials immediately apparent.

What are recycled materials?

Recycled material refers to material that, after its original use, is collected, processed and reused. This often involves so-called post-consumer material – that is, materials that have already been used in everyday life. These include, for example, plastics from packaging or household products, as well as metals from cables or pipes. After collection, the materials are sorted, processed and turned into new raw materials.

Use of recycled materials

We use recycled plastics and metals in selected models. The processed materials are used to manufacture new spectacle frames and lenses. Recycled materials offer a quality comparable to that of conventional plastics or metals. In this way, valuable raw materials are retained within the material cycle and can be reused.

Note on labelling

Due to evolving legal requirements regarding environmental and sustainability claims, we are gradually adapting our product communication. Consequently, products with different labelling may currently be available on the market at the same time. If you own a product bearing our ‘Green Line’ recycled materials label, this indicates the use of recycled materials in that product.
